0 New Grade - Muharram 1439

Alhamdulillah, we’ve reached the Hijri year 1439 by the mercy of Allah, while many of our beloved ones’ have reached our loving Creator. Subhanallah, we have been given another opportunity to increase our good deeds in order to make the day we reach him the best Insha Allah.

Aaaah, as usual we move onto new grades every Muharram. This day is one of the joyous day in my life to see my children with their new books reaching a higher grade.

Nothing makes me happier than listening to my beloved kids reciting the beautiful verses of Quran and enjoying the reading time, listening the stories of the Sahabah which they read to me.

I know all the parents enjoy them, but what makes it special to me is that teaching each one of them was different experience and the joyful moments we spent together for learning are awesome, Subhanallah.

Letter given to my hero on the first day of last year Muharram and some of his drawings.

The smart voice of my Little Soldier reading and stumbling with hard words in our circles still rings in my ears and sweet memories are something that cannot be forgotten and brings joyous tears, Alhamdulillah. We really miss you!

Alhamdulillah, by the will of Allah I had to pass a great test of missing my hero in our first day celebration this year, the last year’s memory of all 4 gems whom Allah blessed me with, standing in rows with their new red dress happy and excited with their innocent faces is still fresh in my mind, Subhanallaaaaah. Qaddarallah

Once again I talked to my inner self that the sole purpose of this beautiful journey is to meet our Creator in a state when he is pleased with us, and yes one member in our team met his Creator in his tender sinless age Alhamdulillah.

Our Little Sister is turning 5 and starting her English alphabets, and has completed her Arabic alphabets (Qaa’idah), Alhamdulillah.

We pray to Him for guidance and help throughout our journey for the success of both worlds!

0 Coming Of Age - A Muslim Girls Guide (Book Review)

Alhamdulillah, once back here with a wonderful book which was gifted to our beloved daughters by hubby.

It was something that I was longing on having when I came across many books for young girls in non-Islamic perspective and was thrilled when I came across this lovely book which guides a young girl with an Islamic perspective on reaching her puberty.

Masha Allah, worth gifting for girls who are about to reach their puberty and beyond. May Allah bless the author, sister Hedaya Hartford who converted to Islam in 1981, and studied extensively for over 30 years with scholars in Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, and known for her Shari’a expertise on women’s issues regarding the fiqh on menstruation, lochia, marriage, divorce, and modern social issues.

The points are well put and organized in an awesome way with real life stories that every girl will surely love it and as well get to know several other important points that most of the times when parents feel shy or guilty to discuss which is not the real case should be.

The explanations are given clear and simple that can be understood by everyone. Also it makes them understand how unique and well-designed is the female body and the fascinating system that happens on every cycle, Subhanallah.

I’m pleased that my 12-year-old daughter is finding it very interesting and useful.

May Allah accept every minute efforts of us taken on guiding our off sprigs in the straight path!

2 The Fruit of the Heart

Alhamdulillah, we are almost at the middle of this blessed month. Subhanallah, this year was somewhat different for me by the will of Allah as I’m missing my hero Little soldier, temporarily and passing every moment of my life with the hope of reuniting with him in an everlasting life as a family together again Insha Allah.

Alhamdulillah, every situation for a mu’min is khair. The sweet memories of the last year’s Ramazan are making me feel Ahhh… unexplainable. Here is something that only I and my beloved son did together during the last Ramazan while others were asleep. (link)

My dear Abdullah, the 6 years of sweet memories you left back means a lot to me. My hero, I’m pleased that you’re happier and safer now, enjoying the bounties of Allah, than those of this world. Alhamdulillah.

My beloved son's writings are the most valuable to me. Today I’m sharing something that the fruit of my heart wrote to me few weeks before his departure.

May Allah accept us and reunite us together again as he never fails in his promises!

0 It's Me

My little girl wanted to do something interesting. Hey, we made her lie down on a sheet of paper and made my six-year-old draw the outline of her body.

Oh yep, both of them were surprised to see her figure on paper.

We then traced her feet and little hands. You can see she has decorated her hands with pink dots. The heart indicates that she loves her own self as loving one’s self is the key to love others.

0 Horse Lapbook

Today’s post is all about our Little Soldier’s craziness towards horses mostly after having watched many documentaries like the “Victorian Farm” and “Warrior the War Horse” etc.

Kids were insisting me to help them to make a project on horses. The wonderful videos about horses were really astonishing and it was so helpful for them to gain some sort of understanding about horses.

Oh, yep, we took them to a horse ride at the local park and they were over the moon, they caressed and fed the horses there.

The curiosity made them search for more information on horses and here are some books we used.

A very good tool to make a child read or write is to work on a project he loves. Little Soldier and Little Princess were so enthusiastic and wrote the stuff in the lap book with the help of Big Sister.
Hey, we used leather to make the cover of the book and inner decorations were done as a group.

You can see the drawing of our Little Soldier, “Horse Man” LOL
Wait! Let’s have a look at Ya’sub and Lazaz, (the horses)!! This is what I stitched for them and they really love it and have fun feeding, grooming, milking, and dressing it up.

0 Arabic Alphabet Craft (2)

Oh, didn’t get to post quite for long a time. Routines and styles of homeschoolers vary depending on age and need of our children. Anyway, learning happens at all stages of life in different styles and modes.

Yes, today I’m here with the lovely Arabic alphabet crafts of our cute girl, which she completed months ago and I couldn’t post it, yep.

Alhamdulillah, I’m so glad that Allah تعالى blessed me with the opportunity of teaching his words for all my 4 kids. “DEEP SIGH”. I’m hoping the acceptance and reward from the Almighty and pray that my progeny be among the bearers of the Qur’an and that let our life and death be in accordance to the honorable words of my Beloved Lord.

Indeed, teaching the book of Allah تعالى for children is a priceless investment for parents even after their death. Creating love and passion in the heart of a child for learning is a great tool for success in getting him into it without tantrums.

So, this is what we did for our Little Sister for her to remember each alphabet. Most of the times she wanted them to do by herself, so I couldn’t be perfect and neat on top level ;). We used whatever materials were available at the moment and the focus was making her familiar with the letters.

Hey, finally we ended the alphabets with the handprint of our cute girl.

May Allah تعالى bless and use these little hands for the service of his Deen!

2 Silent Fighter (Irfan Hafiz) Book Review

Subhanallah, Indeed, we are really blessed with many blessings which we take it for granted. Being blessed physically is one of the greatest blessing that most of us don’t understand, and we only realize it once any defect occurs. (May Allah grant us all good health!)

It is amazing to see people who inspire the world despite great tests from Allah, which they take is as a blessing. Masha Allah. Only a person of real faith can overcome the tests with a positive mind and inspire the world with the awesome gifts that Allah has provided them.

One of the inspirational human we came across in this regard was brother Irfan Hafiz, a DMD patient, which is one of the rarest disease in the world. Subhanallah, a shining example for each of us. This brother is mentioning each and every step of his life in his book "Silent Thoughts” as a blessing from Allah. Subhanallah!

The stories were really heart melting and moving to tears. Lying in the bed for 16 years unable to move the limbs and creating such a wonderful work is to be highly appreciated. Hope that it is an excellent example for many families. Some of this brother’s golden qualities are worth to be inculcated in our own lives. Being positive and an optimist, not giving up, quest for knowledge, being content and grateful to the blessings of Allah, most of all accepting the decree of Allah whole heatedly and happily etc... WONDERFUL.

What I felt after reading his books was all about the emotional support he gets from his family. I’m a person who strongly believe that emotions play a critical role in one’s life. His mom ‘s story was so wonderful and impressive for me and an excellent model for every mum on how to handle the most unbearable grief and problems in an awesome way, and his father’s stories too were amazing Masha Allah.

Each and every one of the family have taken this sickness as a blessing and not as a curse…. Subhanallah, NOT AN EASY JOB. May Allah accept you all!

The wear out of the book shows how interesting and sounds real that our kids loved reading it again and again.

2 Blooming Authors

While all the events of day-to-day life pass routinely from sunup to sundown in the houses and apartments across the globe, it’s the people within (the members of the family), who make these rooms a home for all who dwell there.

A family is a holy unit. Children are the main seeds of the unit to sprout and pass on the believes and values of the family. Sadly, today we are in a world that is snatching this valuable gift (children) from their parents at a very tender age. The pleasure of observing the beautiful nature of the children is vanishing from our society. It looks like we’ve sold them to the policy of the industrial world.

Letting the child to run his course is the beauty of creation. Subhanallah! Being a homeschool mum of four really fascinates me to see that each child is unique and how they have their own pace of learning.

Children do well when they feel like they do, and not by force. This is the truth. Learning is something to be done throughout life and never to be stopped at a specific age. It is the LOVE for learning that should be instilled in a child that makes him search for it, Insha Allah.

Today we are here with the books of our two little authors. Here is a page from Little Princess's

And here is the Big Sister's

Most of the time I tell them stories at dinner. They really enjoy it! This was something they wrote down just as a time pass from all what they hear. Alhamdulillah, finally they transformed it into a book. Hope that it builds up their encouragement and make them move forward further in learning the truth!

0 Eid Cards 1437 (2016)

Happy Eid Mubarak for everyone in advance! Subhanallah, the days are passing so swiftly and we are almost at the end of this blessed month. We pray that all our deeds may be accepted and our souls be purified!

Making Eid cards have been a part of enjoyment for us since a few years. Sending and receiving greetings creates love between each other and especially the collections of the greetings brings a sort of joy even years letter.

Alhamdulillah, now Big sister is able to design her own and help her siblings as well which is a great relief for me to save my time.

Here come our cards
Oh, finally our Little sister’s pretty little card. This is her first card for her pen pal. What a lovely feeling!
May these friendships open up the path to help each other for the truth!
